Can I take my Laptop on board a ryanair flight with no laptop bag?

Can you answer Like smoked salmon and cheese’s question about Luggage?:

Just going to put it in my backpack. Is this OK? They said we can use laptps on board but maybe if you haven’t got a laptop bag… maybe I’m just being too panicky.

    Luggage Feedback: This totally fine..

It doesn’t matter if your laptop is in a laptop case or a rucksack or a handbag..

I recently bought my huge acer laptop with me on a ryan air flight and i had lots of room to put it infront of me :)
But even though i have a laptop bag it shouldn’t make any difference what bag it is in..

But make sure the bag isn’t like really really big cause it might be too big for hand lugage..
